Continued from Fisherman’s Wharf
Inside the Sunken Plaza (http://www.shofw.com/pages/4/b4.html ; Within the plinth) is Family Happy Dream Park (上海家家乐梦幻乐园; Also called Le Shanghai Dreamland, Shanghai Music Fantasy Paradise, Jiajiale) which despite its initially ‘campy’ feel with its retro laser light show displays, I found that it offers a unique outside climbing wall experience that peaks at 35m and offers both easy and technical climbs. For 89 rmb you can get a day of access including access to an instructor. There are safety lines and a fairly thick padding to protect from hard landings. If you pay for the indoor portion of the park, you can also use the climbing walls (Admissions: Adult: 198 (170 after 18:00), Children 188, After 18:00: 170; Sight Seeing Ticket: 20; single entry and 5 game coins).
Zones: XD Motion Ride Theater (59rmb), XD Dark Ride Theater (59), Magic Rain Zone (39; Also called Dream Rain Zone; Chinese version of ‘Random International’s Rain Room’), Ice-Snow Magic Park (89; Also called Ice World), Sky Trail (99), Amazing Sea (99), Brave Fam (49), Game Zone(59), Virtual Reality (VR) Experience (59), Rock Climbing (89) and a Kusama-inspired zone (Chinese version of ‘Yayoi Kusama’s red-and-white Dots Obsession’).
