Hongqiao Friendship Shopping Centre

One of the first modern shopping complexes in Shanghai (Foundation: March 30,1993,Opening: March 26,1994) which was established with a 19 million USD investment and spans 20,000 m2 over 5 floors (1 basement and 4 above ground). Despite the aged appearance of Hongqiao Friendship Shopping Centre (6 Zunyi Road) it is still well worth the trip […]

White Castle

I returned to Raffle City Changing to see if the White Castle was open. It is located in the basement (East-B1-19, Raffle City Changing, 1193 Changning Lu; Near Zhongshan Park Metro Line 2, across the street from Line 3 and 4). White Castle is one of the first restaurants to have standardized methods across a […]

Canada Day

Cancham Shanghai held ‘Canada 150 Street Festival’ at Waitanyuan (133 Yuanmingyuan Road) on July 1st between 2 to 8 pm. This event was much more commercial then other Canada Day celebrations, but that is in line with recent modifications of Cancham to become a business and trade organization versus the fun and family association of […]

Taco Bell

Taco Bell in Shanghai! Its been so long since their last attempt at this market, with their ridiculous Taco Bell Grande. Back then a burrito cost 80 rmb and was drowning in cheese. It held an excellent location across from People’s Square on Nanjing Road and was staffed with little Señoritas wearing giant sombreros. Flash […]

La Fete du Quebec

Yesterday found the ‘La Fete Nationale du Quebec” on the 5th floor of the Crystal Galleria Mall. Prices ranged from 200 rmb, all the way up to 350 at the door. It was fun to take pictures of the Quebec flag and to see the fleur-de-lis. https://cancham.eventbank.cn/event/9780/ http://www.quebecois.sh/ (http://monsecret.club/dev/shangaiqc/) http://www.international.gouv.qc.ca/zh/shanghai

FitBit in Shanghai

Using a fitbit in Shanghai is fairly simple, just change the time zone settings in the app and during the next sync, it will be brought into the correct time zone. When I first used the app in Shanghai, it came up to something in Chinese, but it disappeared and everything seems to be working […]
